After months of development, the new version of Magica is finally out!
This new version brings with it many new features, are you ready to discover them?
Let’s start right away with the list of new features:
➡️ New management system for supplies and refills. Magica now uses a cumulative system that allows for simplified and more precise management than ever;
➡️ Renewed and improved graphic interface. Readability with dark mode has been increased;
➡️ New vehicle position widget;
➡️ New help in the graphic interface to better understand some features;
➡️ Improvements in services, now more data is shown and it is possible to duplicate a service;
➡️ New tracking systems for supplies and refills, now simpler;
Let’s look at each new feature in detail.
New management system for supplies and charges
Many of you asked me to improve it and I did! And thanks to some of you who were beta testers, the functionality is now perfect!
But how does it work? Now the system is cumulative, so you enter the first “Full” and add the partial refuelings, if necessary. When you do the next refueling, Magica will calculate the average consumption and if possible also the residual autonomy.
This last feature is still in beta, in some circumstances it might not work correctly but it is something I am working on. Furthermore, it is now possible to enter the capacity of the tank or battery of the main refueling system to calculate this data.
The refueling insertion panel has also now been redesigned, more immediate and simple to use. As well as the refueling list screen.
Renewed and improved graphic interface
Just as you read before, the graphic interface has been renewed. First of all I improved the Dark version, now more readable. Then I started to redesign some screens, such as the refueling screen as you read but also the vehicle detail, now all in one screen and easier to manage.
The main screen has also been revised by adjusting proportions and buttons.
New Vehicle Location Widget
The medium-sized car location widget has been overhauled, now it also contains the vehicle photo (if inserted) and is more readable and nice to look at.
New User Interface Help
Some of you asked me to help you better understand how some parts of the app work, so I added some help like a Score guide and a Legend for the map.
Improvements in Services
Services and maintenance were a bit behind. So I improved everything, fixing a few issues, more service data is shown and it is possible to duplicate a service, so it is easier to manage!
New fuel and refill tracking systems
The fuel and refill tracking options were a bit confusing, you are right. So I revised them and clearly described what they are for.
